Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite vegetable sides.

Even as a kid, I loved slapping the butter, salt, and vinegar on the boiled cabbagy sprouts, my parents use to cook up.

Roasting them makes me feel like I'm eating the grown up version of sprouts…

If that's the case, growing up has it's perks...

2 lbs brussel sprouts
1/3 cup oil
Salt & Pepper
5 Tbs Honey {or maple syrup}
5 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar
4 gloves garlic chopped {optional… but do it}
4 pieces of cooked, crumbled bacon

-Clean brussel sprouts at their base, by cutting the ends off and discarding all the outer darker green leafs.
-Cut larger sprouts in half, leave smaller sprouts as is
-Throw sprouts to a 9x13 pan or cookie sheet
-Coat with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper
-Bake at 425* for 15-20 minutes.
-Cook bacon, cool, crumble
-Pull pan from oven, drizzle with honey and vinegar, give a good shake in the pan
-Add chopped garlic and crumbled bacon
-Cooke additional 5-10 minutes

Enjoy!
