Man Pasta

If I had my choice in creating the most perfect pasta dish, it would be something that contained plenty of garlic, sautéed onions, fresh basil pesto, tender shrimp, diced tomatoes, hearty artichokes, and freshly grated parmesan cheese, spread over a bed of al dente linguine pasta and drizzled with a rich, buttery cream sauce.

If my husband had a choice in creating the most perfect pasta dish, it would be something that was contained within a circular tin can, wrapped with a label that read "Chef Boyardee", had an easy access pull tab, to open it and consumed at 11:00 at night.

Man Pasta is delicious, Man Pasta is easy, Man Pasta is our happy medium.

1 lb angle hair pasta
2 cups, cooked chicken
2 cups, cooked ham
{I use whatever meat we happen to have left over in the refrigerator, preferable two different kinds}
1 small onion chopped {Nate prefers less, I prefer more… we are working on it}
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
16 oz cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cup pasta cooking water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 cup frozen peas
1 cup parmesan cheese

Cook pasta accordingly. Reserve 2 cups of water {compensate with hot water to make up difference}
Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water
In large bowl, mix together meats, onion, 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese, cottage cheese, & sour cream.
Pour bouillon mixture into large bowl.
Add pasta
Mix in frozen peas
Mix and transfer into a greased 9x12 baking dish
Top with parmesan & reserved 1/2 cup of cheddar
Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly edges.

Enjoy!
